Let me whole-heartedly apologize here that you ever had to experience this. You should have made me make this drive, what a nightmare, but quite the story you’ve created here. I’m sure we’ll laugh over this tale…10-20 years later over a glass or two of wine.

God this is funny. I especially like the part when you realized you were tailgating yourself! Alonzo is a great character. The whole thing about trying to follow the dot on the phone… and the asides to Gracie… and the boys and the pickup truck. Thanks for turning this into entertainment, but please don’t do 800 miles with a tow in one day ever again!

Just got around to reading the satisfying conclusion. I have been in that eyes-propped-with-toothpicks space while driving to Chicago. And have seen those 4-dammit Uhaul trailers doing the jacknifey thing with a sh*** load of band equipment. Not fun. But it was very fun to read all your installments Bro.!

You are a Brilliant writer – and being my nephew does not make me prejudiced. It felt like it took me as long to read it as it took for you to drive it…. laughing and taking breaks all along. Did you take notes along the way or talk into a machine with your third eye/hand. I could just picture You thinking and behaving accordingly. Kind of like a modern Mark Twain piece. I loved it!!!
