Teresa is a painter of some regional renown and her works fill the wall of her and Vittorio's comfortable abode. A half-finished work in progress -- two workmen sharing a moment outside in an Italian village -- is propped in her workroom in the back bedroom. They are quite nice renderings of buildings and people, brightly lit snapsots of small-town daily life in the towns, cities and fields of Italy. A cityscape of downtown Cleveland hanging in the living room records a past trip to see family in America. I am most taken by the custard-colored sunlight that illuminates some of her scenes of rural Italian towns. You want to stand in that light, feel it on your face.
