THE CLEMENTINES

THE CLEMENTINES are a nouveaux folk duo, with dashes of electronica, featuring Casi Null on acoustic and electric guitar, vocals and djembe and Douglas Imbrogno on guitar, vocals, electronic toys and his sister-in-law’s 2nd grade flutaphone. The group features tight vocal harmonies and a lively mix of new and original folk and folk-rock, reinterpreted traditional tunes and drum-based, electronica jams. Casi has studied music at West Virginia State University and played electric guitar in Chuck Biel’s jazz fusion outfit Punk Jazz. She performed at the 2007 NewSong Academy Concert in Shepherdstown, W.Va., with some of the country’s top singer-songwriters. Doug has performed in a variety of groups over the years including Hoody Crow and Doogabeka and has opened for such acts as Don McLean, John Prine and Dan Seals. He is a co-founder of the Mountain Stage NewSong Music Contest.
