LET’S
LEAVE OUR TIME FOR ANOTHER DAY
It was long ago, but not
far away.
The Earth it was, but a different one,
where different wars were lost and won,
and history went another way.
Visit
this place and recognize
some of the sights you know with your eyes.
And some of the names--Hammurabi, the Pope.
And the same old people, filled with hope.
And the same old people telling lies.
Enter
now another Earth.
Expect some sadness, expect some mirth.
It might be a place that you once knew,
in another life, with another you.
Hear
the Tale of Snatchgrin, a mighty foe,
a renegade dragon, who brought only woe.
Listen closely, keep eyes wide.
It’s a complex tale I will confide,
filled with much that’s good to know.m
